Commit to Keiki, a project of the Early Childhood Action Strategy, is a government/non-government collaborative to ensure that Hawai‘i’s youngest children and their families have a brighter start.
Led by a diverse Steering Committee, with representatives from Hawai‘i business, education, early intervention, nonprofit and philanthropic organizations, our mission is to increase Hawai‘i’s investments in its youngest keiki by collaborating with elected officials and serving as a trusted partner and reliable resource for information on issues related to Hawai‘i’s youngest keiki and families.
During the 2020 mayoral election cycle and the 2022 gubernatorial election cycle, Commit to Keiki focused its efforts on ensuring that Hawai‘i’s next mayors and governor championed early childhood development by making greater investments in what we have identified as our three priority areas, including:
- child care and early learning,
- family violence prevention, and
- early childhood mental health.
