Looking Ahead: Commit to Keiki’s 2026 Policy Priorities
Commit to Keiki is pleased to share our 2026 Policy Priorities, a roadmap for strengthening Hawai‘i’s early childhood system and ensuring that every keiki from birth to age five has the opportunity to grow up healthy, safe, and ready to succeed.
- Our Lead Policy Slate focuses on expanding proven programs like Family-Child Interaction Learning (FCIL), achieving pay parity for early intervention professionals, creating a statewide early childhood personnel clearinghouse, and building pathways that make it easier for families to access essential services.
- Our Support Policy Slate calls for workforce development through an apprenticeship program, establishing a Hawai‘i Child Tax Credit, advancing paid family leave, and safeguarding programs that may be threatened by federal cuts.
Together, these priorities reflect our commitment to investing in our youngest keiki and families today, to secure a brighter tomorrow. We look forward to sharing updates in the months ahead as we prepare for the next legislative session. Stay tuned and join us in supporting Hawai‘i’s youngest keiki.
